saving money in a tin for activities for DD while on school holidays

I already have some change in a money tin hidden in my house, though it wouldn't be much.

So I have decided that between now and then (end of June) I will put more change into this tin and when the holidays come, we'll count the money and can use this to do a couple of activities on the holidays.

    Congrats on the idea. We use ours for Christmas. This way it is money not missed.

    We save our change for a 3 month period. The cash is spent on family treats and outings. Last quarter we saved $38!
