pantry inventory

I mite do a pantry inventory today.. I will take everything out of the freezer and pantry and write down whats there. I will also write a menu plan and attempt to begin using whats in my house before buying too much more.

    Something that I do is to do the inventory and divide it up into meat types (beef, chicken, fish), etc and I also divide up how many packages of 1-lb packages of ground chuck for instance. I post this list on my pantry door and each time I take any meat out of there ( I cross it off). It helps me to know what i have and makes it easier for me to plan meals and what I'm low on.
